The vocabulary
Every dashboard word in plain language. None of them is worth memorizing — come back here when one of them stops you.
They are ordered by usefulness: the first five are enough to understand everything else. The last ones will serve you exactly once, the day you ask your software vendor for the access details.
The five words that matter
- Your software (or "CRM")
- The program where you enter your listings every day: Apimo, Hektor, Netty, Gedeon… "CRM" and "your software" mean the same thing throughout this help. It is your source of truth: Ts-Immo reads it and never changes it.
- Gateway
- The pipe between your software and your website. A gateway knows where to fetch your properties and where to publish them. Everything else — subscription, properties, syncs — hangs off a gateway.
- Synchronization (or "sync")
- The moment when Ts-Immo re-reads your software and updates your website. It happens on its own: from once a day to every hour, depending on your plan. You can also trigger one by hand, as often as you like.
- Connector
- The plug at each end of the pipe. The input connector is your software ("Apimo", "Hektor"…): it is fixed when the gateway is created — only its credentials can be changed afterwards. The output connector is your website ("Ts-Immo Sync" for WordPress): that one can be changed at any time, from "Edit gateway".
- Property
- A listing: an apartment, a house, a commercial unit. The same property lives in three places — in your software, in Ts-Immo, and on your website. Yours is the reference; the other two copy it.
Website words
- WordPress
- The software that runs a large share of agency websites. If you do not know whether your site runs WordPress, ask whoever built it — or type its address into the connection wizard and it will tell you.
- Plugin
- A small module added to a WordPress site to give it one more capability. Ts-Immo Sync is ours: it receives your properties and creates the pages. It is free and installs in a few clicks.
- Theme
- Your website's outfit: the colors, the layout, the way a property page looks. Two agencies can use the same plugin with two different themes and end up with pages that look nothing alike.
- Template
- The correspondence sheet between Ts-Immo information and your theme's boxes: "the price goes there, the area goes here". Most of the time you never touch it — the supplied model works.
- URL (or "address")
- What shows in the browser bar, for example

Words your software vendor will use
- API key
- A long code your vendor gives you, allowing Ts-Immo to read your properties. It is a password for programs: never publish it, just paste it once into the form.
- XML feed
- A file, kept up to date by your software, listing your properties. In practice your vendor gives you an address — Ts-Immo reads it on its own.
- FTP / SFTP
- Another way of making that file available, with a username and password. Your vendor gives you the four values the form asks for.
- API token
- A key you hand to someone so they can read your properties from another tool. If your site runs WordPress with our plugin, you do not need one: it is all handled automatically.
- Webhook
- The option for sites that do not run WordPress: Ts-Immo pushes properties to custom-written code. Reserved for bespoke sites — your provider will know what to do with it.
